Wallbanks is a dedicated personal relationships legal practice; specialising in family law, defacto relationships law, wills and estate litigation. Rachael is an Accredited Specialist (Family Law) as awarded by the Specialist Accreditation Board of the Law Society of New South Wales.
It is being increasingly recognised that the mere application of technical expertise to undertakings affecting human lives is not enough. Rachael, and the team at Wallbanks, are committed to recognising the personal, as well as the legal, needs of the clients they serve.

With our focus on personal relationships law we are able to maintain a high level of expertise and efficiency in the provision of the expert legal service you deserve at a reasonable price.
It is our policy to retain experienced Counsel (Barristers) and expert consultants when necessary to ensure that the evidence presented on your behalf is of the highest calibre.
A system of justice, utilised to its potential best, should be about the protection of the least powerful so as to enable them to achieve a fair result in conflict with the more powerful; whether that conflict be between individuals in a relationship or between individuals and the dominant culture of the society in which they live. Such a system of justice should engender a healthy society which serves the common good rather than interests groups, and which offers the promise of generous and fulfilling lives to our young rather than mere success
We are particularly aware that the issue of Difference, including that arising out of an individual's sexuality, sex and/or sexual formation, can have its greatest legal impact in the area of personal relationships law. We have been successful in significant test case proceedings to this purpose. For further details of this landmark decision and a link to the full text of the Judgement go to Resources and Links.. We are determined to ensure that no one suffers injustice due to an issue of Difference; especially with regard to child Contact and Residence issues.
Our focus is on the person and the delivery of quality legal service to our clients rather than growth or profit. We are aware that when you experience family, defacto and estate litigation, you are likely to experience substantial personal stress and challenge.
At Wallbanks you are seen as a whole person rather than just a legal client. It is our goal to not only help you succeed in your legal proceedings, but to ensure that those proceedings serve you in your life. Often, the hardest step to take in resolving legal issues is the step of contacting a lawyer. This step can seem daunting; involving the fear of accepting and reliving the conflict of the relationship and its ending as well as the sharing of personal history.
Even making of a will involves the lawyer and client sharing the client's history, current personal and financial status and future plans.
The main thing to realise is that you are not alone in the human experience of the breakdown of individual and family relationships, that you don't have to deal with these issues alone and that you are entitled to honour yourself by receiving quality legal advice and representation.
The resolution of legal problems involving personal relationships begins with the action of seeking legal advice. It is our experience that even a short preliminary no-obligation discussion of your legal concerns can be of great assistance in providing you with information which can reduce stress as well as providing you with some solid ideas about future conduct which will empower you to be able to look after yourself and others in your care pending your providing more complete instructions. After such preliminary discussion we can arrange to send you a retainer agreement for your consideration and, if possible, a preliminary estimate of the legal costs of your matter can be given.
If you have any queries regarding any of the services we have available at Wallbanks or would like to discuss any matter - please contact us through our details below.
We look forward to hearing from you.
